Using Usivity to Save an At-Risk Account

Do Not Wait for the Churn Conversation
Usivity is most effective when deployed before the account goes critical. Warning signals to act on: executive escalation in the last 30 to 60 days, customer has mentioned evaluating alternatives or requested a pricing review, health score below threshold for two or more consecutive months, UI complaints logged for 60 or more days without resolution, or CSM spending more than 30 minutes per week managing expectations on this account.
Speed of Activation: From Decision to Demo in 72 Hours
Same day: turn it on. If the SDK is installed, account activation takes minutes with no engineering involvement. Same day: brief the CSM on what Usivity can and cannot solve for this specific account. Day 1: prepare the demo using a real complaint from their ticket history, buildable in under 60 seconds. Day 2 or 3: CSM reaches out directly with a short, specific message: 'I have something I want to show you that addresses the [specific issue] directly. Can we get 20 minutes this week?'
What to Say: Opening the Call
'Before we get into the agenda, I want to show you something. I know the [specific complaint] has been open for a while. I cannot promise you a timeline on that feature, but I can give you a way to solve the problem right now.' Lead with the resolution, not an apology or a roadmap update. The customer has heard enough timelines.
What to Say: Showing the Fix
'This does not require a ticket. It does not require a sprint. Your team can do this themselves, today, without waiting on us.' The words 'today' and 'without waiting on us' restore control to the customer. That reframe matters in a churn conversation.
What to Say: When They Raise Other Complaints
'Let us go through your list. For each one, I want to show you whether this handles it or whether it is something we need to solve another way. I would rather be honest about what it does and does not do.' Do not oversell. If a complaint is outside Usivity's scope, say so clearly. Credibility in this call matters more than closing the moment.
Follow-Up Cadence
Same day: send access confirmation and a three-bullet 'here is what you can do now' note. Day 3: CSM checks in by Slack or phone, not email, to learn what was tried first. Day 7: pull the engagement report and share it with the account directly. Day 30: full impact summary with ticket volume comparison and feature usage. Day 60: health score review to assess whether the account moved and whether the root issue was within Usivity's scope.
When This Works
This playbook works when the account's frustration is primarily about UI flexibility, your CSM has a real relationship and can get a demo slot, the specific complaints are within Usivity's scope, the account is unhappy but has not signed with a competitor, and there is at least one user likely to try something the same day it is activated.
When This Does Not Work
This playbook does not work when the core complaints are about missing product capabilities not UI presentation, the relationship is too far gone and the buyer has already decided, the complaints are about performance or reliability or data accuracy, or the decision-maker is not a product user and has no interest in a UI demonstration.
